A fantastique Afterschool opportunity on early release Wednesdays. Immerse your child in an inspiring experience in a real working art studio and nearby parks ! French is woven in with vocabulary, songs we sing, French music and games. Open to all levels of French speakers/learners and artists. Led by Mme Maggie who is a licensed French educator, PK-12.

Each week consists of a project that explores diverse materials, themes and artists from around the francophone world from Cameroon to Egypt to France to Quebec and more! Participants learn art techniques, and work with acrylics, watercolors and mixed media. Your artist will complete canvas paintings, works on paper and make mixed media masterpieces and a found object sculpture! Play time is woven into each class at nearby parks weather permitting.

Our Routine:

2:30-2:45 Arrival / Open Studio

2:45 Park Visit, Le Petit Goutee! (snack) Play Time!

3:45 Return to the atelier/studio. Art Project!  

4:45 Clean up/Studio chores/bathroom

5:00 Story in French / French kids Video / Group Games

5:15 Pack up/ Au revoir circle/songs

5:15-5:30 pm - Free Choice / Pick up!

Québécois & Vermont Forest Adventure!  Art, French & Nature Camp | Ages 5-10  (Ages are suggestions, reach out for questions.  Older youth welcome as camp helpers!)

Step into the enchanting forests of French Canada and Vermont and inspiring Wingspan Studio! Young adventurers will explore nature through art, storytelling, and French language in this fantastique fall camp.

Create bark rubbings, paint wildlife, build sculptures from natural materials, and design vibrant leaf collages. Learn French words for forest treasures while collecting leaves, pinecones, and acorns on outdoor scavenger hunts. Discover French-Canadian folk tales, sing French songs and enjoy outdoor play/nature exploration.

Each day blends hands-on art projects, nature exploration, and playful French language learning—perfect for budding artists and nature lovers! All materials provided.
